What is your favorite part of the 4th of July? Is it the festivities? Or maybe you are a pyrotechnics-junky and love the fireworks. You have planned all year for the show you are going to set off. Then you may be like me and long for the 4th of July Gathering!
Whatever it may be, the 4th of July is one of the freest, funniest, flavorful holidays we Americans celebrate.
I know they say the Holiday Season is between October and December but honestly, the whole year is a big holiday season! Just when we get done with one the next begins. It is hard to believe that the 4th of July is just around the corner.
I see in my kid’s tans and their excitement of summertime fun on their faces. I see it when I drive down the road and see all the firework stands open. Then again if you live in the restriction zones we hear it on the news not to set off fireworks or there will be consequences. The point is the excitement and the temptation of the holiday is all around us.
And what better way to celebrate the holiday than with a 4th of July Gathering. Call up a few close friends invite them over for some BBQ favorites, summertime fun outdoor games, maybe a few festive cocktails, and to complete the night enjoy a colorful light show in the sky!
To help you plan your get together here is a list of some of the Food Blogging worlds favorite festive dishes!
Now if you are hosting a get together let me offer some advice! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE EVERYTHING!! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING. 4th of July Gathers is just as much about relaxing and enjoying yourself as it is entertaining. Don’t be afraid to ask your guests to bring sides or desserts if you are making the main dish.
If you are wondering why I made that is all caps, well… I was yelling at myself more than you. It took me years to learn I don’t have to be the maker of it all; let me tell you, I enjoy get-togethers a lot more these days.

There are SO many delicious-sounding dishes on this page, but I’m going to be honest and admit that I’m super boring so I’d probably choose the Greek salad over anything else on this list ? It’s my favourite salad!
Well if we are being honest I am obsessed with salads. Every day lately since it has been so hot salads have been the biggest part of my lunch and dinner. So there is nothing boring about your love for a greek salad it is a great choice!! Thank you for your kind words these recipe developers and styles work really hard. Have a great 4th of July!
OMG! this is really amazing, all of them are perfect ideas not only for the 4th of July but for the weekends with family! I definitely have to prepare the GRILLED CHILI LIME SHRIMP!!! looks so deli, and I loved you also have gluten-free desserts! 😀
Yes!! Not just for the 4th of July, but I already had a Summertime Cookout Roundup for the year so 4th of July it was LOL. And you are welcome for including gluten-free dessert I do my best to have a little bit of everything for everyone because nowadays when you go to a party there is a little bit of every diet there it seems so diversity is the key!!
These look delicious! Those chili lime shrimp seriously have my drooling right now.
Thank you!!
All of these dishes look PHENOMENAL, but I now have a hankering for grilled shrimp, greek salad, and sugar cookies. We still haven’t sorted out our holiday plans, but I surely hope it includes yummy food!
