Sorry folks! I am doing it again! Waving the sweet indulgent treats in front of you. Hey at least I have included a few healthy options in this Saint Patrick’s Day Desserts and Beverages: The Only 25 Irish Green Sweet Treats You Will Need round-up
What is a holiday without festive sweet treats and beverages?
Yep… your right, a lame one.
But!! Let’s be honest with ourselves is one cookie going to make you gain those 10 pounds you worked so hard to lose this year? Probably not, it is the 2nd followed by the 3rd and before you know it eating a dozen that gains that weight back.
Self-control when it comes to food is one of the hardest feats because I know what you’re saying, “Who just eats one cookie?”
And your right it is hard to eat one.
But for the rest of your getting healthy journey aka the rest of your life (who is going to get healthy just for a few months and say that’s good) self-control will always be there waiting to be trained.
So, if you want to indulge in the holidays, make a recipe off this Saint Patrick’s Day Desserts and Beverages List, I recommend inviting a few girlfriends over. Friends that are going through the struggle just like you and pick one of these amazing recipes and divide it between everyone.

This is not giving in, this is teaching yourself moderation and self-control. To make it easier this year I included some healthier, low calorie, gluten free, fruit-loaded choices, healthy choices. But to be fair since this is Saint Patrick’s Day Desserts and Beverage round-up I also included some indulgent holiday treats as well.

These all look so good. I’m still feeling the guilt of all the Christmas sweets and now I’m tempted to indulge in these Saint Patty’s Day goodies.
Okay to make you feel better I ate a huge box of chocolates my daughter got me for Valentine’s day… the guilt is real on my end, so why stop there, let’s bake some green goodies next!!
Great roundup! I totally appreciated that you included a few healthier recipes like the kale & apple cake. I’m not a huge one for really sticky sweets anymore….
Thank you so much!! It just feels right to post a sweet treat round up for fun holidays, however, there are so many people wanting to stay on track so my goal was to provide some balance and I am glad it showed!! Thank you so much!!
I love St. Patrick’s Day. There are so many fun choices!! Mint chocolate chip is my favorite so I am definitely going to need some of that.
I can’t wait to make that Mint Chocolate Cake I just need a few friends to split it with first!! If I make it the kids and I will eat every crumb in one sitting and then we will be complaining of tummy aches
Kale cake? Really? I have a feeling it’s going to be one of those sounds weird, tastes amazing things… Let me get my baking on!
Really, and it is AMAZING!! The apple helps balance out the earthy kale flavor!! My kids found it fun because it was green and when it is fun it is yummy!!
I love this gum drops and the cupcakes! Everything is so cute!
Thank you
I’m not a huge fan of green, but I LOVE seeing the plethora of rainbow-inspired treats and projects that people come up with for St Patrick’s Day! I’m hoping to post some of my own this year for the first time 😋

We don’t celebrate Saint Patrick’s day where I live, but I LOVE that everything is green – it’s one of my favourite colours and I usually associate it with mint, when it comes to sweet things.
