I love waking up and sipping my coffee on the back deck, reading the news while watching the bird sing. But! As the temperature rises and the day go on coffee just won’t cut it I need a Thirst Quenching Summer Cocktail to help me get through my day.
What are some of your fondest summer memories?
For me, I would have to say the ones are just enjoying the simplicity of life. Meeting up with friends during the summer having a few Thirst Quenching Summer Cocktails; BSing and catching up on life. Hanging out around a bonfire watching the stars talking about our future ambitions.
To be honest most of my youthful memories were filled with alcohol-related activities. There was even one time, on a 4th of July, at a friend house, I had a brandy slush for the first time. I was in my carefree early 20’s.
Somehow after two cups filled with the sweet tangy deliciousness of this brandy slush a dear friend and I found ourselves standing on a bench belting out every lyric to Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love.” Yes, and embarrassing admission, but there is a point to my embarrassment.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO DRINK PLEASE DO SO RESPONSIBLY. As my beloved Grandma Better once told me, “Dance on table tops, bar stools, and chairs just never end up under the table.” Know your limits don’t drink and drive.
To conclude my embarrassing admission story. After our amazing rendition of Bench Top Standing Tainted Love. It was time to sober up, rehydrate, and call it a day when it came to alcoholic cocktails.
That was many moons ago, long before marriage, long before kids, long before my understanding of what my alcohol consumption was doing to my liver.
These days I may have a glass of wine, a beer, or a cocktail once a week but for the most part, I stick to non-alcoholic beverages. My kids come first and being coherent is on the top of the list … you know what I mean.
Besides, nursing a hangover in your 30’s is not at all the same as it was in your 20’s.
That is why when I reached out to the food blogging community for this wonderful list of Thirst Quenching Summer Cocktail: Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic. A little festive sipping for everyone. So, I hope you enjoy! (A= Alcoholic NA = Non-Alcoholic)

Awesome round up! And being pregnant I appreciate some NA options as well! These all look so tasty.

These all look so yummy! I love the presentation of the blackberry elderberry drink! I want to try them all!
That presentation is stunning right!! Almost too pretty to drink… almost!
I’m with you mama, a drink here and there is one thing… for the most part I love a good NA drink though! These look so delish!
The thing I love about this round up the most is most of them can be made into NA drinks so even if you like one that is alcoholic you can still enjoy it without the alcohol!
These recipes all look so delicious! I’ve bookmarked this post so I can refer to these yummy drinks the next time I have dinner party. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you!! With these drinks, your party will be an absolute hit!
These look amazing. I have a party this weekend and I will have to try one. yum!!!
Your party is going to be amazing!
Sangria and Mojitos are my favorite summer cocktails. They are so light and refreshing. I definitely want to try the Orange Julius recipe. It brings back memories from childhood, minus the alcohol of course.
I could definitely go for a cocktail (or five) right now haha. I’m a sucker for anything peach (the frozen peach white wine is calling my name), so I would LOVE to try a few of these recipes. Yum! x
I really like that you included Alcoholic and Non- Alcoholic options as I don’t really drink. It just goes to show that even without alcohol your drink can taste yummy.
Thank you so much! I am glad you appreciated it. I feel there are a lot of people that don’t drink and why should they be left out or have to look at the kids cocktails to enjoy a flavorful drink!
Wow what a good variety of drinks. I prefer the NA drinks.
Excellent pictures, makes me crave for them.
Thank you!! These bloggers do an amazing job in foodography don’t they!
The heat really gets you thristy! Thanks for these yummy drink recipes! Going to save them for later 🙂
The heat is horrible this year!! Right! I am glad this list will help take care of the thirst!
Oh my goodness! They all look amazing and delicious. I really love sangria and the ice cream drink looks phenomenal. My favorite summer memory is going to the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD, and going to a restaurant/saloon called Brass Balls. Amazing memories, great ice cream drinks, and delicious food.
That sounds amazing!! Is that place still open? If so I am adding it to my places I must visit list. There is just something about summertime, boardwalks, and ice cream you know!?!
I love a good summer cocktail and these look so yummy!! I love everything summer. I’m a warm weather kinda gal lol. xx
Looking at all these cocktails is making me thirsty! Perfect for days when it’s hot out and I’m looking for a tasty way to cool down.
All of these cocktails sound so delicious, my mouth was watering while reading, I will definitely have to try them!
