Well, another month has come and gone. Did you make the most of it?
That is the ultimate question, is it not?
I think sometimes in life we get so caught up in the busy, the drama, the to do’s that we forget that none of that is what life is about. Life is about living.
I think that is especially difficult this day and age. My daughter told me the other day “I want to live in the old school!” At first, I thought to live in the 1920s, 1950s, ’60s, or even the ’70s would be awesome because they just seem less complicated.
Then after thinking some more, I realized every decade has its challenges, it’s drama, it’s heartache. As humans, we will never escape that. I do think what makes it hard living in today’s world is that we have problems that really shouldn’t be problems. Equality is important but still seems out of reach for many. Freedom is a simple thing, but people still feel and are enslaved. Acceptance is an easy concept, but so hard to obtain by many.
Then add public shootings and the government taking the pay from countless Americans for personal agendas.
What do all these things have in common?
They don’t have to be present in our world, however, they are. Leaves me asking what is the point?
Which is a question you nor I can truly answer?
Despite all this depressing junk going on in the world, we still need to try and live, make the most of each day. We should try to make the most of everyone’s day. Even a simple smile to a stranger can change that stranger’s day.
It is a cruel world we live in. No need to make it more bitter and cruel.
And those are my whisking thoughts for the month. Now for a little recap.
